The past few days I learned (or relearned) a few important truths:

you can always go home again

money doesn’t solve every problem, but it sure does solve some problems

just when you think things can’t get any crazier, they do, but…

life, and family is always full of surprises.  oftentimes the most pleasant surprises are just around the corner.

It’s this last lesson that I’m so enamored by.  Honestly, the past few days have been kind of magical.  Watching my family come together and push through difficult circumstances to make the past few days special has been awesome.  There have been reunions and reconciliations, wisdom from grandma to the next generation, fights and tears, opening presents, road trips, late nights, all in all though it’s been exhilarating and exhausting.

Blessed to be here, thankful for each of these past few days.
